Students accredited in Advanced PSP Spanish demonstrate fluency and control across a range of A Level topics, including immigration, the impact of tourism on Spain, and the Spanish Civil War and transition from dictatorship to democracy. They analyse literature (Lorca's 'La Casa de Bernarda Alba') and film (Pedro Almodóvar's 'Volver') with insight and can produce extended, well-structured essays on these works in accurate Spanish. Their Independent Research Project, on any topic of their choice related to the Spanish-speaking world, is completed with care and originality.

They express and justify ideas clearly, both in writing and orally, using a wide range of vocabulary and more complex grammatical structures including the subjunctive and compound tenses. These students are well-prepared for further study or practical application of Spanish in academic or professional contexts.
