NHS England General Practice Fellowship Programme (South West London)
A 2 year national scheme funded by NHS England to support GP & Nurse recruitment & retention by developing interesting & innovative portfolio working opportunities in collaboration with health & social care partners.
GP and nurse fellows received 1-2 sessions per week (pro rata) funded time to work in a portfolio role, monthly peer support as well as a CPD allocation. The monthly peer support covered topics such as lifestyle medicine, green primary care, multi-cancer blood test, citizens advice, AI in primary care, air quality, integrated neighbourhood teams and public health.
The scheme provided personal development and experiences within different workplace settings and environments for example: Public Health, Specialist Hospital Departments, University, Council, Voluntary Sector, Care Homes and Digital programmes.
