The Level 5 H&SC Upskilling Academy provides learners with the skills and knowledge needed to manage and lead others in adult health and social care provision in Northern Ireland. This qualification is most suitable for team leaders/managers who are looking to progress their career within this sector.
This course covers a wide range of topics including:
- The use and development of systems that promote communication
- Professional development
- Championing equality, diversity and inclusion
- Developing health and safety and risk management policies, procedures and practices in a health and social care setting.
- Working in partnership in health and social care settings
- Managing health and social care practice to ensure positive outcomes for individuals
Participants are supported by an employability mentor for the duration of the programme (approximately 12 - 18 months). Participants are also supported to apply for new roles once their qualification has been achieved.
