Adult & Child Health Care Careers Progression for Post 16 students

Available from multiple providers

The Careers and Technical Education team at SkillsHouse in collaboration with, Bradford Royal Infirmary, Bradford District Care Trust, Airedale Hospital and Social Care employers have created this pathway which provides a route into employment or further training for learners considering a career in Adult or Child Health Care.

The pathway provides an opportunity for young learners to prepare themselves for progression within this sector by increasing their awareness of the types of jobs available and the type of skills required by professionals working within the sector. Beneficiaries of the pathway will then have the opportunity to take advantage of curriculum align resources, workplaces visit to health settings as well health care professionals visiting young people in school. Learners enrolled on the pathway can also participate in work placements and bridging courses as well as taking part in Masterclasses designed within employers to help develop the in-demand skills required to be successful in this sector.

This pathway is open to Bradford, District and Craven young people and is aimed at learners in Year 10 to Year 13 in either secondary school or a Further Education College.
