CEA: Utilities & Groundworks
The Groundworks and Utilities Employment Academy is a training programme run by Belfast City Council. It helps local people learn the skills they need to get jobs in construction, maintenance, and utility work around the city.
The Academy helps prepare people for jobs such as Streetwork Operative roles which includes digging up roads, laying cables and pipes, and then putting the road back together again.
The programme offers practical training, including eight recognised qualifications, and support with things like writing CVs and preparing for interviews. It’s all about helping people into a career in construction.
